Tabora Hotel (the Kaiserhof)
Built in German times as a guesthouse fit for the Kaiser, and still a hotel today.

The colonnaded front with its fanlight and pediment belongs to the Kaiserhof, built between about 1900 and 1914 as a guesthouse for the German Emperor or the Crown Prince on a visit that never came. It is one of the finest colonial buildings in western Tanzania.
It has been a hotel ever since, and it keeps its wide verandas, high ceilings and gardens, and it is the natural place to stay for anyone who wants to sleep inside Tabora’s history. Even if you stay elsewhere, the terrace is worth a visit.
